Cricket pole — WMMAA report on the Davis-Romero fight
Regis Prograis: “He was preparing this left the whole fight.”
Ryan Garcia: “Let me handle my business on July 16th. I’ll get the Tank. He’s been yelling all through the fight that I’m next, so be it. We’ll do it in December.”
Teddy Atlas: “That’s the left counter I was talking about!!”
“Like I said on the podcast, Davis’ experience will make a difference!!”
“The referee stopped the fight correctly.”
“Davis is too balanced for Romero.”
“You’ve seen the reason why Davis is on my top 10 P4P list.”
“Davis used his legs to set it up, took a step to the side, got him to stretch, and then bang, plugged the hole. The whole package.”
Gervonta Davis – Rolando Romero: knockout video
Tony Bellew: “Tank Davis is a monster! He needs to be more turned on at the start because he’s basically throwing rounds in the first half of the fight! He’s the biggest puncher I’ve seen in the light division since Naseem Hamed.”
Shakur Stevenson: “Great fight. It was a close fight, but Tank caught him. Any skilled fighter will catch Rollie. He’s reckless. He had no respect for Tank and he looked like an MMA fighter, not a boxer.”
Teofimo Lopez: “Tank looks too light at 61kg. Rollie did a phenomenal job until the end until Tank caught him with that punch. What happened? He just got too carried away, reached for it and raised his head.”
Errol Spence: “It was close, but Tank knocked him out. Maybe Romero is good, but Tank is strong as ***. So he continued to box.”
