Former UFC lightweight title challenger Nate Diaz will receive $15 million dollars from the PFL league if he agrees to fight blogger Jake Paul under MMA rules.
The head of the organization, Donn Davis, made the announcement on the regular edition of The MMA Hour.
“Nate is an independent person and he’s only doing what he wants to do, and I’m just trying to get the word out to him that we’re open for business,” the league executive said. “I just want to say, ‘Here’s $15 million, here’s Jake Paul.’ We have all the infrastructure in the PFL and we’re easy to work with. The offer is on the table.”
In August of this year, Nate Diaz made an unsuccessful professional boxing debut, losing to Jake Paul by unanimous decision over ten rounds, and two weeks later he turned down an offer to rematch the youtuber in the PFL cage for $10 million dollars.
Nate Diaz, 38, had his last MMA fight last September at UFC 279 in Las Vegas, finishing Tony Ferguson with a fourth-round guillotine choke before declining to renew his contract with the world’s strongest league and leaving the organization as a free agent.
