On December 10, Omaha (Nebraska, USA) hosted the debut boxing evening from the company BLK prime. In the main event of the show, local WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford (39-0, 30 KOs) knocked out Russian David Avanesyan (29-4-1, 17 KOs).

According to
PR.com
the event turned out to be very cash:

  • – Firstly, more than 14.3 thousand entrance tickets have been sold. This is a new record for Nebraska;
  • – secondly, about 120 thousand paid broadcasts (PPV) were realized – the event could be watched on platforms such as Dish, Direct TV, InDemand and on the BLK Prime website;

  • – thirdly, the event withstood serious competition – at the same time, the Teofimo Lopez vs Sandor Martin and UFC 281 shows were broadcast.

The source believes that the organizers made a good maneuver by putting in the co-main event of the show the MMA star, the legendary champion from Brazil, Christiana Justino (Cris Cyborg).

In September, she already had experience in the ring. And then her show also turned out to be very box office – it gathered a 10,000th crowd in the arena in Brazil and sold about 100,000 PPVs.

reacted to the news and addressed Terence and his critics: “A record number of viewers in Omaha and 120,000 broadcasts sold? Bud, send them home!”

But not everyone believes in these figures. Mark Ortega of PBC on FOX
declared: “Anyone who believes that the fight Crawford vs. Avanesyan has collected more than 100 thousand paid broadcasts is simply stupid.”

Meanwhile, the owner of all other welterweight belts, Errol Spence, praised Crawford for Avanesyan: “10 million for a bag fight is cool.” A little earlier, the undisputed champion about Terence: “Never heard of his opponent.”
