The last fight in Bellator history has been named

The welterweight title fight between Ukrainian Yaroslav Amosov and Jamaican-born Jason Jackson, which is scheduled to headline Bellator 301 in Chicago on Nov. 17, will be the last matchup in the American league’s history.

This in an interview with. “The MMA Herald” Russian fighter Mukhamed Berkhamov reported.

“I was told that the Amosov-Jackson tournament will be the last – there will be no more Bellator organization,” Berkhamov said. “That’s why everyone is in a confused position right now. Managers say that some part of the fighters will be signed to the PFL, but not all of them. Some will be screened out, some will be signed. But my contract just ended with Bellator, and Bellator itself ended, so now I’m free”

In addition to the title fight, Bellator 301 is scheduled to feature a lightweight grand prix semifinal bout between Russia’s Alexander Shabliy and Brazil’s Patricky Freire, and if Berkhamov’s information is confirmed, it’s unclear what will happen to the event’s finalists, one of whom is already reigning Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov.

Recall that at the stake of the final fight should stand the championship belt of Bellator, the title of the winner of the grand prix, as well as one million dollars.
