The head of the UFC reacted to the PFL league’s purchase of Bellator

UFC CEO, Dana White, commented on the words of PFL head Donn Davis, who after the purchase of Bellator MMA said that they are going to deprive the strongest league in the world of the status of the sole leader in mixed martial arts.

“It’s a hell of a lot of fun, but good luck to them. I wish them all the luck in the world,” White said at a press conference in Austin. “One de**** organization that doesn’t sell tickets and nobody watches, buys another de**** organization that doesn’t sell tickets and nobody watches. Sounds like a plan.”

The deal between the PFL and Paramount Global, which owned the Bellator MMA league, was officially announced two weeks ago.

Despite the de facto merger of rosters, the two leagues will continue to exist independently, and next year will hold a joint event that will feature a showdown between the champions of the two organizations.

The tournament will reportedly take place on February 21 in Saudi Arabia.
