The 20-year-old Irish native, who suffered bruises and a head injury on Conor McGregor’s yacht last July, has filed formal charges against the former dual UFC champion.
According to the victim, during a party dedicated to his birthday, McGregor began to insult her appearance, after which he kicked her in the stomach and punched her in the face, promising to throw her off the yacht and drown her.
“At that moment, his behavior changed dramatically – he seemed to become obsessed,” the girl said in a statement filed with the Irish police. “I knew that I needed to leave the yacht because I was sure that he was going to kill me. We have mutual friends, we used to meet him many times, and I could not believe that he did this to me. He is a criminal. I think he would have killed me if I hadn’t gotten off the yacht.”
In a statement, the girl said that she had jumped off the yacht, which at that moment was not far from the island, and soon rescuers picked her up and brought her to shore.
A native of Ireland immediately reported that McGregor attacked her, but when the Spanish police tried to take an affidavit from her, she refused to name the ex-UFC champion as the attacker and returned to Ireland.
“Mr McGregor denies all allegations made by one of the guests on his yacht,” a spokesman for Conor McGregor told MMA Mania.
Recall that the Irishman had previously been accused of sexual violence, assaulting an elderly man in a bar, and also beating an Italian DJ, but none of the cases went to trial.
34-year-old Conor McGregor last entered the octagon in July 2021, having received a severe leg fracture in a duel against Dustin Poirier, and six months before that, he lost to the American by knockout in the second round.
