The giant from Fedor's hall moved to the ACA league

AMC Fight Nights heavyweight title holder Grigory Ponomarev will continue his professional career in the Absolute Championship Akhmat.

“Grigory Ponomarev is a heavyweight fighter of the ASA League,” reads the entry in the official social networks of the Russian organization.

27-year-old Grigory Ponomarev successfully defended the AMC Fight Nights heavyweight championship belt ten days ago, finishing with a technical knockout of his compatriot Yusup Shuaev in the first round.

Prior to this, the “Giant from the Hall of Fedor” had two more fights with Shuaev – in the first he lost by technical knockout in the second round after referee Gerikhan Shibilov’s controversial decision to raise the fight to the stand, and in the second he took a convincing revenge, finishing the opponent by rear naked choke 57 seconds before the first break signal.

The Russian heavyweight will make his debut in the ACA league with six professional wins and two losses.
