The fight between Roman Dolidze and Derek Brunson has been canceled.

American middleweight Derek Brunson has been eliminated from the UFC 295 event where he was scheduled to face Roman Dolidze.

The Georgian fighter announced the cancelation of the fight on social network.

“Brunson is out,” Dolidze wrote. “I heard Robert Whittaker, you want to fight at the end of the year. Let’s make it happen! November or December. Or Jared Cannonier.”

Derek Brunson, 39, has suffered two straight losses, losing by knockouts to Jared Cannonier and Dricus Du Plessis, and Roman Dolidze, 35, snapped a four-fight win streak in March, losing by unanimous decision to Marvin Vettori.

Roman Dolidze is currently ranked seventh in the UFC’s middleweight rankings, while the aforementioned Robert Whittaker and Jared Cannonier sit at third and fourth in the division, respectively.

Recall that UFC 295 will take place on November 11 in New York, and its main event will be a heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic.
