The Dominic Reyes and Carlos Ulberg fight has been canceled again

The second attempt to put Dominick Reyes and Carlos Ulberg together in the octagon has failed as the American welterweight has dropped out of the UFC on ESPN 54 event on March 30 in Atlantic City for unknown reasons.

His place in the event’s card will be taken by Alonzo Menifield, as officially announced by representatives of the organization.

The fight between Reyes and Ulberg was originally scheduled to take place on January 20 at UFC 297 in Toronto, but was canceled due to an injury to the New Zealand fighter.

Carlos Ulberg, 33, is riding a five-fight win streak in the UFC, finishing Da Un Jang with a rear-naked choke in his last fight.

Alonzo Menifield, 36, has won two fights in a row, finishing Jimmy Krut by choke and defeating Dustin Jacoby by unanimous decision.

Alonzo Menifield is currently ranked twelfth in the UFC’s welterweight rankings, while Carlos Ulberg is not a top-15 fighter in the division.
