The defeat of Bivola Ramirez will try to close in a fight with Rosado

Former world champion Gilberto “Surdo” Ramirez (44-1, 30 KOs), who dropped to zero in November against WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol, will return to close the loss on March 18.

It was announced on DAZN that the Mexican will fight with former Puerto Rican American challenger Gabriel Rosado (26-16-1, 15 KOs), and the fight will take place in the category up to 79.4 kg.

“I’m glad to be back. I had a lot of time to think after the last fight and I’m looking forward to putting on a show against a seasoned veteran like Gaby Rosado,” Ramirez said. “Like everyone, I have goals, dreams and aspirations to be at the top, and today I feel more motivated than ever. You can go astray, but the pursuit of greatness will never go away. I promise to return with revenge! See you guys on March 18th!”

“I’m excited to start the year with a bang! I have a lot of respect for Ramirez. We are friends. But we have business on March 18,” Rosado said. “I won’t let myself down or the fans down.”

In September, Akhmedov confidently outboxed Rosado.

Ramirez admitted in November that it was hard for him to accept defeat.
