The ACA league gave the reason for stopping negotiations with Eduard Vartanian

ACA vice-president Aslanbek Badaev explained why the winner of the ACA Lightweight Grand Prix, Eduard Vartanyan, refused the Russian league’s offer, which fully satisfied him financially.

According to Badaev, Vartanyan is currently negotiating with the UFC and expects to sign an agreement with the world’s strongest league.

“Vartanyan has given his answer – it’s a rejection, guys,” Badaev said while answering fans’ questions live on Youtube. “He didn’t accept our offer, although it suited him financially. He, as I understand it, is negotiating with the UFC, and we need to move on.”

“So with Vartanian our paths have diverged at this stage. If he changes his mind and is ready to sign a contract, we will discuss again other conditions”

In June of this year, 32-year-old Eduard Vartanian extended his winning streak to eight fights, finishing Kazakhstan’s Artem Reznikov by technical knockout in the third round in the final match of the grand prix. On his way to the finals, “Lionheart” earned early victories over South African Alain Ilunga and his compatriot Yusuf Raissov.
