Dominican challenger Michel “Ali” Rivera (23-0, 14 KOs) claims he is the next opponent for WBA World Lightweight Champion American Gervonta “Tank” Davis (27-0, 25 KOs).

The fighter spoke about this in an interview with a local
Broadway Joel YouTube Podcast.
Allegedly, a fight with Davis was promised to Rivera in the WBA.

A little later, the Dominican wrote about it on social networks. Allegedly, he was offered a title fight after winning the opening act against Tszyu.

Gervonta scored a one-punch knockout over the weekend against Rolando Romero. Interestingly, de jure it was a mandatory defense. It is unlikely that the organization will require the champion to hold the second in a row binding.

It’s funny that in October, “Ali” Rivera also beat Romero, and then called out Lopez and Davis. It was rumored that Linares would perform in the eliminator against the Dominican – they don’t leave their own in the WBA.
