Former world champion, recently retired Briton Amir Khan indulged in dubious thoughts “what would happen if …” and came to the unequivocal conclusion that in his best years he would have coped with the best version of the legendary American who left the ring undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. .

“You know what? I would beat Mayweather,” Khan said. “I tell you honestly, I would have beaten him. If I was at the peak, and he would be at the peak too, I have no doubts about it. I understand that I will be hated for this, but sorry guys, you have to believe in yourself, which is what I have always done throughout my career.

“I think stylistically, when Mayweather was much younger, he had great speed, he moved a lot. But I feel that my speed would beat his speed, and my movement would beat his movement. He was never known for punching power, so it would be something like a chess game in which I would outbox him.

On September 25 in Japan, Mayweather will hold an exhibition match against local MMA fighter Mikura Asakura. See how Floyd’s bodyguard brutally intervened in their duel of looks.
