Former two-category champion Shakur Stevenson (19-0, 9 KOs) calls for a lightweight tournament to find out who is the No. 1 fighter here. The American wants, of course, that the participants of the tournament “paid a lot of money for each fight.”

“They should do a 135-pound tournament like the Super Six but pay us a lot of money for every fight. That would be fire!”
Twitter Shakur came up with the idea.

Who is there in the division besides him? Devin Haney, Gervonta Davis, Vasily Lomachenko, Isaac Cruz, Joseph Diaz, William Cepeda, George Kambosos and others.

All this sounds, of course, beautiful, but competing promoters and television networks will clearly sabotage the idea, and the call of 25-year-old Stevenson will simply be ignored.

Bob Arum suggested if Stevenson could beat Mayweather. The American says he won’t be offended by Lomachenko if he chooses Haney over him.
