Steven Thompson, 40, got his career back on track last December with a TKO win over Kevin Holland, whom the corner missed out on in the fifth round. Before that, Wonderboy suffered two losses in a row, losing decisions to Gilbert Burns and Belal Muhammad.
Michel Pereira, 29, is on a five-fight streak, winning a split decision over Santiago Ponzinibbio in his last bout.
Currently, Stephen Thompson and Michel Pereira are ranked seventh and fifteenth in the UFC welterweight division, respectively.
