Sterling offered to fight O'Malley a month early

Reigning UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling keeps making conflicting statements about his upcoming fight with Sean O’Malley scheduled for August.

This time, Sterling, who spoke a few days ago about the need to postpone the fight to a later date due to injury, announced his readiness to defend the title a month earlier.

“To hell with all of it. Let’s do it on July 8 and see what kind of test you are, ”the champion wrote on the social network, referring to the opponent.

“I pass. See you in August,” the applicant replied. “Aljo ”August is too early – July is just right””

The day before, UFC President Dana White refuted Sterling’s statement, saying that the title fight, scheduled as the main event of UFC 292, remains in force and will take place on August 19 in Boston.
