St. Pierre revealed who he’s rooting for in the Pavlovic and Aspinall fight

Former UFC middleweight and welterweight champion George St. Pierre is hoping for a win for Tom Aspinall, who will try to win the interim UFC heavyweight title this weekend against Sergey Pavlovic.

The legendary Canadian released a statement to this effect on social media, publicly addressing the Brit.

“Tom, I know you are preparing for a big fight right now,” GSP stated. “You’re facing a fearsome opponent, a fight everyone is trying to avoid.”

“No one wants to fight him, but you said yes and I like your spirit. That’s what it takes to be a champion.”

“Without fear, there is no courage! Lead this dance, fight like you know how, with no regrets, and put it all behind you! Best of luck – I’ll be watching and cheering for you, my friend.”

As a reminder, the Pavlovic vs. Aspinall fight will take place on Nov. 11 at UFC 295 in New York City and will be the second main event of the numbered event of the world’s strongest league.
