Briton Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) celebrates his 34th birthday today.

On this occasion, you won’t believe it! – an undefeated professional boxer … announced his retirement. Yes, again. Or rather, again.

“A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to my career over the years,” he wrote on the social network. “After long and difficult discussions, I finally decided to leave, and on my 34th birthday I say: “Good luck.”

Along the way, Fury professed gratitude to team members and partners, apologized “if I didn’t mention anyone,” and added: “See you on the other side, bums, gee. 2008-2022″.

Everything would be fine, but as recently as April, Fury already said goodbye to boxing immediately after the victory over Dillian Whyte. Since then, he has repeatedly stated that he will return only for a very solid reward, and on August 9 he announced his return and recently promoted a third fight against Derek Chisora.

Given that Tyson is now in Iceland and does not deny himself the pleasure of having a glass of something else non-alcoholic, perhaps the birthday was just a success, and soon, maybe even tomorrow, the British joker will come up with a “sensational” refutation.

Only one thing is embarrassing – WBC President Mauricio Suleiman has already made a statement that Fury really decided to hang up his gloves on a nail:

“Just had a great video conference call with Tyson Fury on his 34th birthday. I’m very proud of him. He confirmed the end of his career to leave as a champion, as a family man with money and a great future. This is the dream of any boxer. We want to wish Tyson Fury all the best. God bless him for all time. He’s great, just a great source of inspiration.”

But we still suggest not to draw far-reaching conclusions yet and remind you that on August 20, all other prestigious heavyweight titles will be at stake in the rematch of Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua.
