Russian middleweight Sharabutdin Magomedov, who signed with the UFC late last year, will make his debut in the world’s strongest league on Oct. 21 at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi, and Brazilian Bruno Silva will be “Bullet Ball’s” opponent.
Informed sources close to the situation have reported the bout has been arranged.
Undefeated 29-year-old Sharabutdin Magomedov had four fights last year, two of them in the Russian RCC organization, winning three early victories and one by unanimous judges’ decision.
Bruno Silva, 34, suffered his third loss in his last four fights under the UFC banner in June, losing by rear-naked choke in the first round to Brendan Allen. Prior to that, the former M-1 Challenge champion finished Brad Tavares by technical knockout, closing out a two-fight losing streak.
Recall that the main event of UFC 294 will be a lightweight title fight between Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira.
