Former UFC middleweight title challenger Marvin Vettori is ready to share the octagon with Russian Sharabutdin Magomedov, who has repeatedly talked about wanting to fight him.
“The Pirate has asked to fight me again, and here’s all I can say – I accept the challenge with open arms,” the Italian wrote on social media. “As they say, be careful what you wish for – they can come true.”
“Shara Bullet” made a successful debut under the UFC banner this October, winning a unanimous decision over former M-1 champion Bruno Silva after three spectacular rounds.
Marvin Vettori has been steadily alternating wins and losses for two years, losing a unanimous decision to Jared Cannonier in his last fight.
The Italian fighter is currently ranked fifth in the UFC middleweight rankings, while the Russian is not yet in the top 15 fighters in the division.
