Shara Bullet has endorsed Petr Yan

Russian UFC middleweight Sharabudtin Magomedov is confident that his compatriot Peter Yang, who is returning to the octagon after a one-year hiatus, has made the most of that time and will be able to snap a three-fight losing streak against China’s Song Yadong.

“I mean, he was a champion, and what makes a true champion different is how he comes back after a loss,” “Shara Bullet” told Impact TV. “That time, I think he used it to his advantage. Song Yadong is exactly the kind of opponent he can show his full potential with.”

The flyweight fight between Peter Yan and Song Yadong will be part of UFC 299, which takes place March 9 in Miami.

The Russian last stepped into the cage last March, losing by unanimous decision to Merab Dvalishvili after five rounds. Prior to that, the former UFC champion suffered two more setbacks, losing by split decisions to Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley.

As for Sharabutdin Magomedov, he plans to fight next at his UFC debut in Saudi Arabia, which takes place June 22 in the capital of Riyadh.
