Shamil Gaziev promises to be a nightmare for the UFC heavyweight division

Dagestan-born Shamil Gaziev, who competes for Bahrain in the UFC, is not the least bit worried about the fact that in his second fight under the banner of the world’s strongest league, he will face one of the division’s top fighters, Suriname knockout artist Jairzinho Rosenstrike.

“First of all, I’m sure that if I win this fight, they will include me in the top 15 of the heavyweight rankings,” Gaziev said in a pre-fight interview. “So this fight is another step up in the rankings, and I’m going to be a nightmare for the whole heavyweight division.”

The undefeated heavyweight also made it clear that he is not embarrassed by his status as the headliner of the event.

“I’m not the one making the decisions here, but if you ask me, sure – I want to fight for the title as soon as possible, and the big fights will lead me to UFC gold”

Recall that the fight between Shamil Gaziev and Jairzinho Rosenstrike will be the main event of UFC Fight Night 238, which starts in a few hours in Las Vegas.
