Shamil Gaziev and Jairzinho Rosenstrike fight in the works

Dagestan native Shamil Gaziev, who represents Bahrain in the UFC, will fight his second fight under the banner of the world’s strongest league on March 2 in Saudi Arabia, and his opponent will be Surinamese knockout artist Jairzinho Rosenstrike, ranked twelfth in the UFC heavyweight rankings.

The bout is in the final stages of development, as reported by sources close to Gaziev’s team.

Undefeated 33-year-old Shamil Gaziev made a successful debut under the organization’s banner last December, finishing Martin Budaj by technical knockout in the second round at UFC 296 in Las Vegas.

Jairzinho Rosenstrike, 35, has performed extremely erratically over the past four years, suffering five losses in eight fights. “Big Boy” last stepped into the octagon last May, losing by rear-naked choke in the first round to Jailton Almeida.
