The third number of the UFC heavyweight division, Sergey Pavlovich, is one victory away from the title fight.
About it in an interview Match TV said the manager of the Russian fighter Rizvan Magomedov.
“We plan for him to fight in April or May,” Magomedov said. “He is third in the heavyweight rankings, it will definitely be a contenders fight: either with Cyril Gan or with someone else”
“His style of fighting plays a big role in promotion: he goes out and knocks everyone out. Plus, the matchmakers themselves said that it was necessary to freshen up the blood in the heavyweight division.”
30-year-old Sergei Pavlovich is on an impressive streak of five early wins in the UFC, knocking out Australian Tai Tuivasa in less than a minute in the last fight.
32-year-old Cyril Gan, who occupies the first line in the heavyweight ranking, was hardly the only top fighter in the division who noted the bright victory of the Russian, expressing admiration for his performance. In his last fight, the Frenchman also won an early victory over Tuivasa, but spent almost three rounds on it, and he himself was knocked down.
