Russian heavyweight Sergey Pavlovich, who knocked out American Curtis Blades in the first round in the main event of UFC Fight Night 222, was among the fighters who received an additional $50,000 for their performance.
In addition to the Russian, three other participants in the event, Montel Jackson, Bruno Silva and Christos Giagos, were awarded tournament bonuses, all for “Performance of the Night”, since none of the fights was recognized as “Fight of the Night”.
Representatives of the UFC announced the names of the nominees in the official social networks of the organization.
After taking down Curtis Blades, Sergei Pavlovich scored his sixth straight first-round knockout in the UFC and became a top contender for the title fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic, scheduled for November.
