Sergei Pavlovich: “It’s going to be a war for the real belt”

Russian heavyweight Sergey Pavlovich, who is set to fight Brit Tom Aspinall as early as this weekend, believes the interim UFC championship belt that will be on the line is full-fledged.

“It’s a real belt for me,” the Russian said in response to questions from reporters. “I think it’s going to be a very interesting and spectacular fight, because it’s going to be a real war here. There will be two heavy guys fighting, and anything can happen at any moment.”

“To be here, I’ve done a lot of hard work, you’ve witnessed it all, and I’m very aware of where I’m going and what I want. I know one thing, I’m one hundred percent ready for this fight, I’ve been preparing for guys who are legends of the sport, and there’s not much time left until the cage closes.”

As a reminder, the fight between Sergey Pavlovic and Tom Aspinall will be the second main event of UFC 295, which will take place on November 11 at the legendary Madison Square Garden Arena in New York City.
