UFC interim heavyweight title challenger Sergey Pavlovic is the holder of the hardest punch in the world’s strongest league, former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker believes.
“Sergey Pavlovich is the holder of the hardest punch in the UFC at the moment,” MMAnews quoted the Australian as saying. “That’s a fact considering who he’s fought and how convincingly he’s beaten them.”
Whittaker said he is extremely interested in the upcoming fight between the Russian and Brit Tom Aspinall, the winner of which would theoretically be a candidate to fight current division champion Jon Jones, who is recovering from injury.
“Who would you like to see fight Jon Jones? I’d like to see Tom Aspinall, a faster guy, try to do in a fight against Jones what Cyril Gun couldn’t do. But I’d also like to see Pavlovic come out against Jones with his heavy hands and try to make a difference
As a reminder, the fight between Sergey Pavlovic and Tom Aspinall will be the second main event of UFC 295, which takes place on November 11 in New York City.
