Reigning UFC lightweight champion Sean O’Malley is hoping Charles Oliveira can rematch Islam Makhachev in three weeks and take the UFC lightweight title away from the Russian.
“I want to see Charles win,” the American said on another Joe Rogan podcast. “It would be the occasion for a big trilogy. Maybe he’d challenge Khabib, even though that’s not too realistic.”
At the same time, O’Malley believes that Makhachev is a high-level puncher whose technique is severely underrated.

Recall that the lightweight title fight between Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira will be the main event of UFC 294, which will take place on October 21 in Abu Dhabi.
