Sean O’Malley responded to Ryan Garcia’s challenge

Reigning UFC lightweight champion, Sean O’Malley, has commented on the statement made by popular American boxer Ryan Garcia, who has promised to destroy him in an MMA rules bout.

“Bro, I’d finish you off in a matter of minutes,” O’Malley said on another edition of his podcast. “I could move him down and choke him out, but I’ll be kicking him in the damn body, kicking his little stick-feet away. I’ll do whatever I want.”

“I can box him with MMA gloves – it’s a different sport with those gloves on. The distance becomes different. I can beat him and Devin Haney on the same night, one on one.”

As a reminder, Ryan Garcia will attempt to take the WBC bantamweight title away from Devin Haney on April 20, while Sean O’Malley will go on the road to defend his championship belt against Marlon Vera, ranked fifth in the UFC’s lightweight division rankings, on March 9 at UFC 299 in Miami.
