Reigning UFC flyweight titleholder Sean O’Malley did not disregard Aljamain Sterling’s words predicting him to lose in his rematch with Marlon Vera, and also stated that the division’s new champion is not a knockout artist.

This past August, Aljamain Sterling lost his UFC flyweight title to Sean O’Malley by technical knockout in the second round at UFC 292 in Boston. The newly crowned champion said after the fight that he wants to make his first defense of the belt against the division’s number six Marlon Vera, who suffered the only defeat of his career three years ago, finishing him by TKO in the first round.
