Sean O’Malley predicts Peter Yan’s dismissal from the UFC

Reigning UFC flyweight champion, Sean O’Malley, sees no threat to himself in the division and believes that his former opponent, Peter Yan, who returns to the octagon this weekend after a long layoff, will not be able to get his career back on track and will be fired from the UFC.

“Cheeto is a punching doll. Peter Yan is one fight away from moving into fist fights, and Merab has a nose even more crooked than Joe Biden’s,” the American said at the press conference for UFC 299. “Let’s go, baby!”

Former UFC flyweight champion Peter Yan will attempt to close out a three-fight losing streak against China’s Song Yadong in the upcoming numbered event, while Sean O’Malley will make his title defense in the main event against Marlon “Cheeto” Vera, who handed him the only loss of his career four years ago.

Recall that in October 2022, Sean O’Malley defeated Peter Yan by split decision, and last August the American knocked out his compatriot Aljamain Sterling in the second round, taking the championship belt from him.
