Sean O’Malley has promised to knock out another UFC champion

New UFC flyweight champion, Sean O’Malley, wouldn’t mind sharing the octagon with current UFC lightweight titleholder, Alesandre Pantoja, who has indicated a willingness to fight him.

“If there’s one thing that would make me move up to lightweight, it’s a fight with Sean O’Malley,” the Brazilian said in response to fan questions on social media. “He talks a lot of de**k. If you want to know, we sparred with him and he recorded a video, but he never sent me the footage.”

The American fighter did not disregard the statement.

“It’s definitely not cool to call out people who are inferior to you in weight, so I’m definitely not going to mention that I would knock out Alex Pantoja. Again,” O’Malley replied.

“The Athletic Commission has just released an official ranking of the top fighters regardless of weight in which I am humbly and honorably ranked number one. A dream come true,” he added.

Last weekend at UFC 292 in Boston, Sean O’Malley finished Aljamain Sterling by technical knockout in the second round, taking the championship belt from his compatriot, while Alexandre Pantoja won his title this past July with a split decision win over Brandon Moreno.
