UFC bantamweight number two Sean O’Malley has bet $10,000 on a title rematch between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya this weekend.
According to the American, he believes that this time Adesanya will be able to defeat Pereira and regain the UFC middleweight championship belt.
“How much does Pereira drive?” O’Malley said in a recent episode of his YouTube podcast. “Actually, Izzy doesn’t even need to hit many times if Pereira is racing that much. This bastard puts on 20-25 lbs a fight week and that takes a big toll on his ability to take a punch – the chin gets weaker, the brain fluid drains.”
At the same time, O’Malley does not rule out that Adesanya will demonstrate his wrestling skills in this fight.
“I think he will come out and fight. He needs to get a couple of takedowns, put him on his back, and let Alex think about whether he should go forward so actively.
The middleweight title fight between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya on April 8 will headline UFC 287 in Miami.
