Sean Brady out of UFC 290

UFC welterweight No. 8 Sean Brady has been injured and pulled out of UFC 290, which was scheduled to face No. 14 Jack Della Maddalena.

The nature of the fighter’s injury is not reported, but it is known that the American is currently in the hospital. Given the timing, it is highly doubtful that the organization’s matchmakers will be able to find a new opponent for the Australian.

Sean Brady, 30, suffered his first loss of his professional career last October, losing by TKO in the second round to Belal Muhammad, and 26-year-old Jack Della Maddalena is on a series of four stoppage victories in the UFC, finishing all opponents in the first round.

Recall that the UFC 290 tournament will take place on July 8 in Las Vegas, and its main event will be a featherweight unification fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez.
