Sean Brady has challenged Ian Machado to a Garry challenge

After preventing Kelvin Gastelum from making a triumphant return to welterweight, the division’s number nine, Sean Brady, wants to see tenth-ranked Irishman Ian Machado Garry as his next opponent.

“I think he’s an underdog and I’m going to rip him up like a rag doll,” MMAJunkie quoted the American as saying. “I guess this is the easiest fight for me in the division. If he can get past Vicente Luque, which I personally doubt because Luque is an amazing fighter, then we could meet in March in Atlantic City. We’ll see what happens.”

“I want to be active. Like I said, I’ve had some injury issues, but if I can stay healthy, I want to fight in March. I heard there’s going to be a tournament in Atlantic City, and that’s literally an hour away from my house. I once defended a championship belt there, so that would be perfect.”

Recall that the fight between Kelvin Gastelum and Sean Brady, which took place at UFC on ESPN 52 in Austin, ended with the latter’s victory by kimura in the third round, and the fight between Ian Machado Garry and Vicente Luque will take place on December 16 at UFC 296 in Las Vegas.
