Rustam Kerimov: “The UFC was ready to sign me, but they didn’t approve my visa”

ASA league fighter Rustam Kerimov spoke about why he could not sign a contract with the UFC.

“I will deceive you if I say that I did not want to join the UFC. I wanted to test this atmosphere and myself in it. But I’m not dying from not getting there. I tried to apply for a visa, it was not approved for me. Then I didn’t even try to do it. Was absolutely free then. True, I took a break from fighting, so I now have a new charge.

The UFC was ready to sign me if I get a visa. She was the problem. They don’t even explain the reason why it was denied,” Kerimov was quoted as saying by KP.

At the ACA 135 tournament in Grozny, which will be held on January 28, the co-main fight of the evening will be a rematch between Kerimov and Abdulrahman Dudayev.
