Russian welterweight Hussein Askhabov will return to the octagon on Oct. 7 at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas, and his opponent will be American Daniel Pineda.
Informed sources close to the situation said about the organization of the fight.
In February of this year, 28-year-old Hussein Askhabov had a disappointing UFC debut, losing by unanimous decision to Jamall Emmers after three rounds. Prior to that, the Russian knew no defeats and was riding an impressive streak of 23 professional victories.
Daniel Pineda, 38, also returns to action after a loss, losing by unanimous decision to Alex Caceres in June. Two months earlier, the American had put his career back on track with a guillotine choke finish of Tucker Lutz.
