Russian heavyweight Rizvan Kuniev signed to PFL

The reigning Eagle FC heavyweight champion of Russia, Rizvan Kuniev, will continue his career under the Professional Fighters League banner.

Representatives of the American organization officially announced the signing of the Russian heavyweight. Kuniev will become a member of the next PFL season, which starts next year.

Rizvan Kuniev, 30, is on a nine-fight streak, finishing in the first round with a guillotine choke on former UFC fighter Anthony Hamilton in his last bout.

Last year, the Russian tried to get into the UFC through the Dana White’s Contender Series selection show, but was not among the fighters who received contracts with the strongest league in the world, despite the fact that he defeated the Brazilian Edivan Santos by technical knockout in the third round.

Recall that this year the Croatian Ante Delia became the heavyweight champion of the PFL league, who in the season finale finished by technical knockout in the first round of Matheus Scheffil and received a check for one million dollars.
