Despite the fact that the coach of the American ex-world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) Malik Scott wants to see either the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk or the British Anthony Joshua as an opponent, the team of the Mexican ex-champion Andy Ruiz -younger (35-2, 22 KOs) expect that they will enter the ring with Deontay.

Recall that Ruiz and Wilder won the semi-final fights of the WBC Candidates Tournament and now they must determine the official contender in the head-to-head confrontation – an official order from the organization is just around the corner.

“Nothing official yet,” reports Andres Ruiz, Andy’s father. “We have until December to decide who we will fight. But we want Wilder… I heard that Wilder wants to fight Usyk or Joshua, and we are allegedly not interested in him. But we still hope that the fight will take place, because it will determine the mandatory challenger (for the WBC title held by Tyson Fury).”

Meanwhile, Joshua’s promoter announced that Ruiz would beat Wilder.

Although there is an opinion from the former rival of both boxers, according to which Wilder will kill Ruiz.
