Boxing legend, 54-year-old American Roy Jones Jr. (66-9, 47 KOs), will hold an eight-round boxing match on April 1 as part of the show Gamebred Boxing 4 in Milwaukee (USA). The opponent is 36-year-old former WEC and UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis (25-14, 11 KOs in MMA).

According to the organizer of the evening of boxing, MMA veteran Jorge Masvidal, he “has always been a fan of Jones.”

“Always wanted to work with him somehow,” Gamebred said.
MMA Fighting. “He will fight someone who has inspired me so many times in my career. Pettis is a great aggressive fighter. He agreed to fight a walking living legend, the king of the pound, one of the best fighters, athletes I have ever seen in martial arts – and that’s it.

For Pettis, this will be his professional boxing debut.

Gamebred Boxing 4 will include many stars. Jose Aldo and Jeremy Stevens will face each other in the boxing ring after Aldo defeated him in MMA by TKO in the 1st round in July 2018. Other couples in the tournament: Vitor Belfort vs Ronaldo Souza, Paul Daly vs
Anthony Taylor and others.

According to Masvidal, every fight on the card will be classified as a professional fight. All fights, except for the main one, are six-round.

The show will take place a week before Jorge himself returns after a year-long hiatus to face Gilbert Burns on April 8 at UFC 287 in Miami.
