Roman Dolidze will headline a UFC tournament

The UFC’s seventh-ranked middleweight Roman Dolidze, who lost bouts to the departed Derek Brunson and the injured Jared Cannonier, will return to the octagon as the event’s headliner.

The Georgian fighter announced this to his fans on social media.

“The contract is signed. The main event!”, – wrote “Caucasian”.

At the same time, Dolidze did not specify when the fight would take place and who would be his opponent.

However, the most likely opponent looks like former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker, ranked third in the division’s rankings.

Marvin Vettori and Paulo Costa also have no scheduled fights, but Dolidze lost to the former by unanimous decision in March of this year, and the Brazilian is apparently still nursing a staph infection that forced him to forfeit his fight with Khamzat Chimaev.
