Rodtang Jitmuangnon won’t be participating in the ONE Championship.
ONE officials confirmed that Rodtang was out of the semifinal Muay Thai flyweight Grand Prix bout against Savvas Mika, which was scheduled to be held at ONE Prime Video in Singapore onFriday.
The bout was put at risk following Thursday’s official weigh ins. Rodtang was unable to submit a urine sample to a mandatory water test, and Rodtang was denied permission to weigh in. All fighters who failed to pass a hydration test or make weight were given extra time to attempt to do both.
Rodtang defeated Jacob Smith by unanimous decision at ONE Championship 157 this past May to advance to the semifinals.
It is not yet known if the promotion will attempt to find a last-minute replacement to face Michael or if Michael will advance to the grand prix finals by default.
On one side of the bracket is Superlek Kiatmoo 9, who will be fighting Walter Goncalves. However, Goncalves failed Thursday’s hydration test.
No other changes have been announced for ONE on Prime Video 1.
