The fight in the bantamweight division between Rob Font and Song Yadong has replenished the card of the UFC 292 tournament, which will take place on August 19 in Boston.
Representatives of the UFC have officially confirmed the organization of the fight, the development of which was previously reported by informed sources close to the situation.
In April of this year, Rob Font returned his career to a successful track after two defeats in a row, finishing in the first round with a technical knockout of Adrian Janiz. Prior to that, the 35-year-old American lost unanimous decisions to Jose Aldo and Marlon Vera.
25-year-old Chinese representative Song Yadong also won in April, winning by technical knockout in the fifth round against Ricky Simon. Thus, he was rehabilitated for his failure in the duel against Corey Sandhagen, for the fifth round with which the doctor did not release him due to a severe cut.
Rob Font and Song Yadong are currently ranked seventh and eighth in the UFC bantamweight division, respectively.
