Former UFC interim lightweight title challenger Kevin Lee will return to the Octagon on July 1 at UFC on ESPN 48 in Las Vegas against Russian Rinat Fakhretdinov.
The organization of the welterweight bout was reported by informed sources close to the situation.
In February of this year, Kevin Lee signed a new contract with the strongest league in the world, which he left in 2021 on a two-losing streak. Last March, the 30-year-old American fighter got his career back on track with a unanimous decision win over Diego Sanchez at Eagle FC 46.
Rinat Fakhretdinov, 31, who made his UFC debut last June, has won two victories in the organization, beating Andreas Mikhailidis and Brian Battle by unanimous decision.
