Russian UFC welterweight Rinat Fakhretdinov will return to competition on Jan. 19 at ADXC 2 in Abu Dhabi, and his opponent in a grappling match will be former Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima.
This was officially announced by the organizers of the event.
Rinat Fakhretdinov, 32, who made his UFC debut two years ago, has had four fights in the organization, winning unanimous decisions over Andreas Michailidis and Brian Battle, finishing Kevin Lee with a guillotine choke, and drawing a fight with Eliseu Zaleski dos Santos.
Dagas Lima, 35, snapped a four-fight losing streak in May by winning a three-round unanimous decision over Costello van Steenis.
Currently, Rinat Fakhretdinov rounds out the UFC’s top-15 welterweight division, while Douglas Lima is ranked sixth in Bellator’s top welterweight rankings.
