A rematch between Russian Alexander Shlemenko and Serb Alexander Ilic is in development and could take place in August this year.
This was announced by the executive director of the RCC league Nikolai Klimenko.
In August last year, 34-year-old Alexander Ilich became the author of a sensational victory, knocking out Alexander Shlemenko at the RCC 12 tournament in Yekaterinburg at 22 seconds into the fight. After that, the Serbian fighter lost a unanimous decision in a boxing match to Magomed Ismailov, and also won a split decision against the Pole Marcin Narujka in a duel according to MMA rules.
39-year-old Alexander Shlemenko went into the cage twice after the defeat, drawing the fight with the Brazilian Kleber Souza at the SFC 5 tournament in Omsk, and losing by unanimous decision to Magomed Ismailov at the RCC 13 tournament in Yekaterinburg.
