Conor ready to fight Nurmagomedov for the second time
Former UFC Double Division Champion Conor McGregor responded to criticism from promotion champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who accused the Irishman of improperly preparing for a rematch against Dustin Poirier.
Khabib tweeted that Conor instead of real training “sparred with little kids away from reality.”
“My team has been with me since day one, I haven’t changed a thing. Everything is as it is. Respect athletes. This is the character of the person behind the mask. If he wants to get his disrespectful comments, then let him come back. I’m ready to fight him,” McGregor said.
Note that McGregor in a rematch for the first time in his career was knocked out. The first meeting of the fighters, held in the fall of 2014, ended with an early victory for Conor in the first round.
In a face-to-face fight that took place in 2018, Khabib strangled Conor.
