The women’s bantamweight bout between Raquel Pennington and Irene Aldana will be the main event of UFC Fight Night 224 on May 20 in Las Vegas.
UFC representatives officially announced the organization of a potential challenger fight.
Raquel Pennington is on a five-fight streak, winning a split decision against Kathleen Vieira in the last fight, and Irene Aldana scored two victories in a row, knocking out Jana Santos and Maisie Chiasson.
The confrontation of the girls will become a revenge – in July 2019, Pennington defeated Aldana by a split decision after three rounds.
Raquel Pennington and Irene Aldana currently sit second and fifth in the UFC women’s bantamweight division, respectively.
