Rapper Drake bet on the Edwards and Covington fight

Popular rapper Drake, also known for unsuccessful bets on the outcome of sporting events, has placed a large amount of money on the outcome of the welterweight title fight between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington to headline UFC 296 in Las Vegas.

This time, the Canadian performer bet $250,000 that the Brit will successfully defend his title, and do so early by knocking out the American. In the event that Edwards does knock out Covington, Drake will win $1,200,000.

“Please, a headshot, would be much appreciated!” the Canadian wrote on social media, referring to the UFC champion.

“Will do!” replied Edwards.

It should be noted that in September of this year, Drake lost $500,000 after betting that Israel Adesanya would knock out Sean Strickland at UFC 293 in Sydney. As we know, the Nigerian ended up suffering a sensational defeat, losing to the American by unanimous decision and losing the UFC middleweight championship belt.
