Former world heavyweight champion Briton Tony Bellew was positively surprised when star content maker Jake Paul (5-0, 4 KOs), who was seriously carried away by profiboxing, chose American heavyweight Hasim Rahman Jr. (12-1, 6 KOs) instead of British light heavyweight Tommy Fury, who was banned from entering the United States.

According to Tony, this says a lot about Jake’s attitude towards his hobby.

“I am shocked that he chose Rahman. Get it right, Rahman is full of flaws, he was not even close to the level of his father and will never be able to achieve it, Bellew says in an interview.
DAZN. “But I’m still very impressed that Paul went for it, whatever the reasons, because it’s a significant step forward for him as a pro boxer. It’s a much harder fight than against (Tommy) Fury and I’m trying to understand why Paul chose to go down this path.”

“If Paul can beat Rahman, then maybe it’s time to accept that he does take boxing seriously,” Tony said.

The Pol-Rahman fight is scheduled for August 6 in New York (USA).

Meanwhile, Rahman admitted that once he was forbidden to knock out Paul, and Jake himself ended up in the hospital.
